Meet Dr. Alex Silvia, DMD

The Professional Side
Dr. Alex has a true passion for dentistry and has spent a substantial amount of time furthering his skills to better serve you. Following dental school at the University of Kentucky, he completed a one-year residency specializing in implant dentistry, sedation, and treating medically compromised patients. He spent an additional year completing a 300-hour comprehensive implant training course. He has been recognized with awards for both surgical and aesthetic/prosthetic dentistry in addition to an award for his dedication to volunteering and providing free dental care for underserved populations.
The Personal Side
The only thing Dr. Alex is more passionate about than dentistry is his family. Dr. Alex is married to his wife, Annie, and they have 2 daughters. Dr. Alex and his family enjoy going to Brewers games, local farmer’s markets, and walking their golden doodle, Beau. Although he is native of Kentucky, he has lived in Wisconsin for many years and considers it home.

This was a 300 hour CE course that lasted 8 months training in all aspects of implant dentistry including 3D treatment planning, implant placement, bone regeneration, full mouth rehabilitation, complication management, and “teeth in a day”/”all-on-x”.

Dawson Academy
This was a post gradate mini-residency involving 140 hours of CE over the course of 12 months. It provided advanced knowledge for solving the most complex dental problems involving esthetics, occlusal problems, TMJ issues, and advanced restorative care.
